COVID Reporting During Distance Learning
The Farmington School District will continue to track confirmed cases of Covid19 in students and staff. It is important to call your student’s school, even when in Distance Learning if your student is diagnosed with Covid-19, has symptoms, or has been identified as a close contact.
We need our school community to work together to help stop the spread of Covid-19 in an effort to return students to in-person learning as soon as possible.

No-cost, at-home COVID-19 testing information
The MN Department of Health is encouraging and providing at-home COVID-19 saliva testing for any person who wants to be tested, with or without symptoms, at no cost, with or without insurance. In-person testing sites, supports, recommendations, and guidelines are also available.
For information please go to the Minnesota Department of Health’s website.
Remain vigilant to reduce the spread of COVID-19
Please remember to wear your mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, cover coughs/sneezes, and keep your contacts limited to those closest to you and your family. Routine healthcare visits, immunizations, and well-child visits continue to be essential during this time. Contact your child’s health office with any questions or concerns.
Food Service During Distance Learning
Dear Farmington Area Families:
Free Meals Continue throughout the 2020-2021 school year
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended flexibilities in its Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) through June 30, 2021. This means it will waive all fees for school meals through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. The department previously extended free meals through December 2020, based on funding available at the time, but was able to extend throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year.
