Megan Blazek, Principal

Principal BlazekMy name is Megan Blazek, Principal of Boeckman Middle School. I’m very passionate about education and I look forward to partnering with you to provide your children with a personalized, engaging, and high-quality middle school experience. As the parent of two children myself, I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. I believe that by working together we can make sure the social, emotional, and academic needs of your child are met.

Before joining BMS, I served in a variety of teaching and educational leadership roles over the past 13 years, primarily with Eastern Carver County Schools. Some of the roles I have held include middle and high school science teacher, high school administrative dean, middle school assistant principal and middle school principal. My academic background includes a Specialist in Educational Leadership, a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Teaching Life Science, and a Certificate of Educational Computing and Technology.

Middle school is a unique time for both children and their families. At this time young people begin dramatic change and reorientation in all areas of development - physical, intellectual, social, and emotional. I am committed to working with staff at BMS to provide a great middle school experience for your children during this period of time in their development. Our focus will be on preparing the learners at BMS for their future through learning opportunities where they explore their interests, curiosities and passions.
