A Note from Joe...
BMS Family,
It was a long week, but a successful one! This week's newsletter will be short! Thank you to everyone for the hard work on the Spring Celebration of Learning and drop in conferences.
I also want to take a moment to thank Jen Logan Allen, Jenna Schlatter, Tim Schlatter, Terra Pingley, Nicole McGuire, Tenille Jennings and Chris Caduff for putting together engaging presentations for our Professional Development Day on Friday. Below are the resources.
Below is the slide that we asked you to reflect on. I will be scheduling meetings with teams in the next few weeks to gain feedback around next year.

Parking: Outdoor recess will begin on Monday. Please be aware of where you park as students will use the basketball court in the parking lot.
Trimester 3 begins: Monday, March 11 for 8th graders
MCA Dates & Training Information: At our staff meeting on Wednesday, we will be reviewing the plan for MCAs and we will also be asking all staff to complete the MCA training requirements from the Minnesota Department of Education. Reminder that Opt Out information can be found in the community newsletter. All Opt Out forms should be turned into the office. The Building Live Calendar has dates and link to Opt Out form but it is linked here too. Reminder that we do not promote opting out and we do not force anyone to take the test.
Specific Dates of Testing:
- March 14 & April 15 -8th grade only - MCA Science in regular science class
- April 17 & April 18 – Math MCA: we will follow MCA Alternate Schedule
- April 24 & April 25 – Reading MCA: we will follow MCA Alternate Schedule
